Today, The World Famous Porn*Stars Beach Party!!
Saturday February 25th, at The World Famous Porn*Stars Beach:
1pm to 3pm slt ,DJ Zoey Winsmore will be playing the music.
I (Emily) will be hosting.
The remodel is complete! The beach is even better than before!!!
I
know this is what so many of you have been waiting for, I been hearing
it most of the winter!! Infact one laughed at me and said I was the
first person he ever met that let the RL seasons influence what I did in
SL. Some of you haven't even been around long enough to have been to a
Saturday beach party. But those of you can remember back when the party
was held around what was more like a big above ground pool, I noted that
as we got deeper in to November and the temps dropped in the northern
hemisphere less an less people were getting in the pool.
Then
we moved the party up to the club and I had the brilliant idea of
decorating the club with snow on the dance floor and drifts around the
edges. NO ONE got even naked at that party!!! But hey I get it, watch a
movie where people are stranded in a blizzard during the winter and you
can feel for them, maybe even feel colder yourself. Watch the same movie
during the summer and you're thinking "lucky" you wish it would cool
off like that!
So
each year after the 3rd Thursday in November (Americas Thanksgiving) we
close the beach and move the party up to the warm club and get to wear
those cute Christmas outfits we all just have to have (wouldn't do that
on the beach) until the weekend of the Oscar's (the weekend after the * SL PORN * GROUP MOVIE AWARDS). In this case the beach was closed for 1 day shy of 3 months!!!
But
hey closing the beach each winter brings a new sense of excitement each
year when we reopen it that we wouldn't have if it never closed!!! Also
in past years it gave me a chance to redesign
and make the facilities better, usually by clearing the land and
starting from scratch! This year the dance area and pool stayed the same and area around that had a pretty big make over. Somethings
have been added, somethings removed, but it still will be the party
place to be this Saturday!!
